Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
May include, but are not limited to: Aid in modifying existing applications to improve production and work flow;
assist to implement enhancements designed to serve new purposes and meet the needs of end users; work directly
with users to identify and document business procedures and problems; assist users during implementation of new
and revised computer applications; follow department software development lifecycle and coding standards;
assist in design and implementation of database code and the data layer; implement enhancements designed to
serve new purposes and meet the needs of end users; work independently on small projects on an as needed
basis; prepare technical documentation and instructional manuals relevant to functionality and use of
software applications, and work with outside vendor representatives to perform programming changes
and enhancements. Other duties may be assigned.
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must possess knowledge of: Web based software development; principles and techniques of computer software
programming, testing, documentation, and reporting, including current programming paradigms and software testing
techniques. Client/server software and applications, including Microsoft operating systems, servers, and end user
applications; database development and administration, including SQL and database design.
